Criteria for PTE

The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is another standardized test used to assess English language proficiency for non-native English speakers. Similar to the IELTS exam, universities and organizations set their own minimum score requirements for admission or employment purposes.

Minimum Score Requirements:

Overall Score: Institutions and organizations typically require a minimum overall score, which can range from 50 to 90, depending on the institution and program.
Skill Scores: In addition to the overall score, institutions may also specify minimum scores for each of the four communicative skills assessed in the PTE exam: Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening.

Test Format: The PTE Academic exam consists of three main parts: Speaking and Writing (together), Reading, and Listening. Each part is scored on a scale of 10 to 90.
Validity: PTE scores are typically valid for up to two years from the test date.
Computer-Based Test: PTE Academic is a computer-based test conducted in authorized test centers worldwide. Test takers complete the exam on a computer, and scores are automatically generated by the computerized scoring system.
